I started PathFinder Executive Coaching after deciding to leave the company I had started and built over 25 years ago. I was very fortunate in locating and hiring a professional Coach who was able, in very short order, to help me gain an understanding of what I should be looking for in retirement or any second career I might be considering. My Coach encouraged me to look "outside the box" of conventional thinking and pay more attention to what I wanted to do instead of what I thought was expected of me by others. My Coach taught me to understand that it was even OK to be very selfish at this most difficult time of my life. With my Coach, I felt like I had a real partner, someone who was objective and working along side of me to keep me focused. Importantly, at no time did I feel like I was being guided by my Coach towards any particular decision or choice.

In far less time than I could have imagined, I had made a major choice. And no one was more surprised at what I'd chosen to do than my Coach. I discovered that for years I'd been Coaching employees, peers, and clients through all types of circumstances and situations, both personal and business related, without really paying attention to what I was doing. It just came naturally to me because when I was Coaching I was working in concert with my core values. It wasn't work - Coaching was a fundamental part of who and what I was. And Coaching is what I needed to be doing.

I've built an Executive Coaching practice that focuses on the needs of people in business who are facing tough career decisions and choices, struggling with building their department or organization, advancing their careers to the next level, or becoming more effective leaders and communicators. These are all challenges I've faced personally and have experienced first-hand how a professional Executive Coach can be so valuable and beneficial in helping achieve it all successfully. My practice is built around partnering with my clients, and that's a nature and quality of relationship that limits the number of clients I can work with.

I'm proud to have earned my certification as a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation, a distinction held by a small percentage of the thousands of coaches worldwide. I'm also certified by Target Training International as a Certified Professional Behavior Analyst.

I encourage a prospective client to look "outside the box" of conventional thinking and consider how an Executive Coach can help them get from where they are to where they want to be. Having the right partner can make all the difference in the world.
